Required Qualification & Skills:

  • University Degree with a minimum 50% aggregate, with Law as one of the subjects.
  • Fluency in English (oral and drafting).
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and interact with business lines.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Junior Data Privacy Counsel with relevant experience in Data Protection preferred.
  • Legal background with specialization in NICTs and Data preferred.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Regulation preferred.
  • Experience in the Insurance Industry preferred.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Assisting the Global DP team with important administrative, reporting, and repetitive tasks across regions.
  • Handling Data Subjects Access Request (DSAR): locating data subject/reference, acknowledging the request, investigating, analyzing the relationship, redacting files, validating redactions, and drafting letters.
  • Overseeing Data breaches: investigating, monitoring, and updating data incident reports.
  • Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA).
  • Updating Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) status tracker and preparing DPIA Committee and sign-off.
  • Supporting the CDPO by scheduling meetings, taking minutes, tracking actions, triaging the mailbox, and tracking in Excel.
  • Monitoring processes and following up on new regulations.
  • Tracking compliance action plans.
  • Contributing to Global and local projects with the DP team as needed.
  • Handling adhoc DP tasks as delegated by the DPO from time to time.
  • Aiding in the overall administration of the Global DP program.

You will report to the Data Privacy Office Manager.
