Specializing in text-based data annotation, ML model writing, and toxic content evaluation, the team plays a key role in aspects of ML development such as Responsible AI, Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback, Supervised Fine Tuning, and Human Content Evaluation. Our diverse expertise spans linguistics fields like sociolinguistics, computational linguistics, conversation analysis, syntax-semantics, linguistic typology, ESL, foreign languages, and translation, contributing to the advancement of AI technologies with a strong focus on linguistic precision and responsible AI practices.

Key job responsibilities
Develop Expertise in Data Collection and Annotation: Build a comprehensive understanding of data collection and annotation guidelines, as well as the use of various annotation tools. Ensure accuracy and consistency in all data-related tasks.
Text Data Annotation: Accurately annotate text data by identifying linguistic categories according to detailed guidelines. Pay close attention to nuances in language to ensure high-quality annotations that contribute to the effectiveness of ML models.
Engage in Data Generation and Quality Assurance: Actively participate in data generation, collection, and quality assurance tasks. Ensure that all data is meticulously prepared and meets the necessary standards for machine learning applications.
Problem-Solving and Independent Work: Dive deep into issues as they arise and implement effective solutions independently. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with ML Data Associates and Team Managers: Work closely with ML Data Associates (L3) and Team Managers (TMs) to deliver high-quality data annotations. Foster strong communication and teamwork to achieve project goals and contribute to the overall success of the team.
ML Data Associate qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A completed Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and analytical thinking.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to efficiently create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
